REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS DESIGN-BUILD SERVICES FOR HEATH PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITIES

1.1 General Notice
1.1.1 The City of Heath (“Owner”) extends this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) to solicit a Statement of Qualification (“SOQ”) from any interested party (“Proposer”) for Design-Build (DB)Services (“Services”) for one or both of two separate and distinct public safety projects (“Project”):
1. New Central Public Safety Building
2. New Satellite Fire Station
Design-build teams may express interest in either or both projects. The City of Heath reserves the right to reject any and all submittals, and the right to award either or both projects to a selected team.

1.2 Overview
1.2.1 The Owner requires a facility that provides space for a new central public safety building. The selected site for the new central public safety building will be on City owned property located at Chris Cuny Blvd, Heath Texas 75032 (RCAD Property ID 82102). The facility is planned to consist of a structure between 17,000 and 18,000 sq. ft. and will likely contain the following basic items: two and a half double drive-through apparatus bays, public lobby, offices, interview rooms, restrooms, showers, locker room, training room, records storage, evidence storage, 6 dorm rooms, fitness room, watch room, kitchen, gear and storage maintenance areas, day room, emergency operations center, conference room, and back-up generator. The Owner estimates an approximate construction budget for the new central public safety building of $10,500,000 dollars including all costs and fees.
1.2.2 The Owner requires a facility that provides space for a new satellite fire station. The selected site for the new satellite fire station will be on city owned property located at 1284 FM740, Heath Texas 75032. The facility is planned to consist of a structure between 8,000 and 9,000 sq. ft. and will likely contain the following basic items: two and a half double drive-through apparatus bays, public lobby, office, restrooms, showers, locker room, 6 dorm rooms, fitness room, watch room, kitchen, gear and storage maintenance areas, day room, and back-up generator. The Owner estimates an approximate construction budget for the new satellite fire station of $4,500,000 dollars including all costs and fees.
