This notice is issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 10, Market Research, to identify potential sources, including interested Small Business Concerns, for the project listed above. This is for market research and planning purposes only; it does not constitute a solicitation or Government obligation. No contract will be awarded based on responses, and the Government will not reimburse costs associated with responding to this notice. Respondents will not be notified of the outcome, though the Government may contact vendors for clarification if needed.
Project Scope:
The contractor shall provide all necessary plant, labor, materials (new and current), transportation, equipment, supplies, permits, insurance, and supervision to repair air conditioning unit 1 (ACU-1) at Building 2180, Beale AFB.
Key requirements include:
-Maintenance and repair of an existing 20-ton Trane IntelliPak water-cooled chiller system
-Startup services, including operations and maintenance training, air balancing, water balancing, and field testing to confirm that the system meets all specified operation requirements.
-See attached draft copy of Performance Work Statement (PWS).
Instructions for Interested Vendors:
All interested parties should submit a written notice (maximum five pages) expressing positive intent to submit an offer as a prime contractor. Please submit responses no later than the deadline specified in this notice. Your response should include:
1. Statement of Intent: Clearly indicate your intent to submit an offer as a prime contractor.
2. Relevant Experience: List projects completed in the past five years (both Government and private). For each project, include the type, dollar value, contract number, location, and point of contact. Specify whether your firm served as the prime or subcontractor (include a prime contact if applicable).
3. Resources and Personnel: Provide a brief outline of resources, subcontractors, and key personnel proposed for this contract.
4. Business Size and Socioeconomic Status: Indicate your firm’s size (large or small) and, if applicable, your socioeconomic status (e.g., SDB, HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB).
5. Trade Disciplines: List key trade disciplines (e.g., plumber) your firm would use for this work.
If an insufficient number of qualified small businesses respond, this requirement may be competed on an unrestricted basis.
