The purpose of this solicitation is to select a contractor to provide Construction Services for JEA’s Point Meadows T2
Addition project. The work consists of installing a new 230/26 kV power transformer (T2) and associated low-side
breaker. This will include the installation of three distribution feeder breakers (Feeders 233, 234, & 235). Install new
station service on the T2 bus and terminate on the Station Service Transfer Switch with existing T1 bus station service.
1. Mobilization
2. Site Surveying and establish baselines
3. Site Preparation
4. Receive and offload substation packager materials
5. Install foundations for all structures and equipment as needed
6. Install ground grid, ground rods, and equipment ground tails
7. Install conduits/cable trenches
8. Install one 230/26 kV power transformer
9. Install three distribution feeder breakers
10. Install new station service on T2
11. Backfill and compact site as necessary
12. Install substation rock
13. Transport JEA provided materials and equipment from JEA storeroom
14. Install any structures, bus, and equipment as needed
15. Install grounds to structures and equipment
16. Finish conduit installation, pull cables, and terminate at yard equipment and inside the control house relay
equipment
17. Site Clean-up, sodding/seeding and disposal of debris
18. General inspection by JEA
19. Completion of all punch list items
20. Upon JEA commencing the serving of load but not more than ninety (90) days beyond punch list completion, the
Contractor shall inspect all 230kV electrical connections for hot spots.
21. Demobilize
