NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Modesto, County of Stanislaus, State of California, will receive electronic sealed Bids for the following work: Housing Rehabilitation Program- 2621 Prescott Rd Space 137 Modesto CA 95350 .

The City of Modesto Housing Rehabilitation Program provides financial assistance to eligible homeowners for the repair and improvement of their properties. Funded through federal resources, the program is designed to correct health, safety, and code deficiencies, extend the useful life of homes, and improve overall living conditions for low- to moderate-income households.

The City is seeking qualified general contractors to participate by bidding on rehabilitation projects. Typical scopes of work may include roofing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, accessibility improvements, and general property repairs.

This is a HUD-funded project. Section 3 businesses and/or businesses that employ Section 3 residents are strongly encouraged to respond.

• An engineer’s estimate is NOT released for this project.
• The project is NOT subject to prevailing wage.
• Bidders are required to hold a valid General Contractor’s Class “B” License.

Notice to Contractors – Insurance Requirement for PINS Approval

All General Contractors seeking to participate in the City of Modesto Housing Rehabilitation Program must maintain current insurance coverage as required by the City. Proof of insurance is a prerequisite for PINS (Public Improvement Notification System) approval and must be submitted prior to contract award.

Each Bid shall be submitted electronically through the City's OpenGov Procurement portal prior to 04:00pm on Wednesday, November 05, 2025, after which time Bids will be opened, read and recorded.

Bids will be received only in the manner stated above, and prior to the time indicated. Any Bid received at or after said time and/or date, or in a manner other than stated above cannot be considered.

Bids received in any other format will not be accepted. The City of Modesto assumes no responsibility for delay in the upload of documents or final submittal of the Bid.
