The City of Independence is currently auctioning off various surplus vehicles and equipment at the Purple Wave website. The current auction features a 1982 Caterpillar 963 loader and 32’ Belshe (2002) equipment trailer among other items. The City will be conducting additional auctions of surplus City equipment as the equipment is identified and prepared for auction. The Purple Wave website is here (
