Amendment 0001 - The purpose of this amendment is to extend the offer due date from 7/31 through 8/7 @ 1600 (MT) to allow additional time for submission of quotes.
In regards to the questions we've received about specifications for the Pipe Arch, the Government is not providing design drawings or a proprietary product detail for this requirement. Detailed drawings available to the Government are generated through a single manufacturer's proprietary design software, and issuing them would unduly restrict competition by favoring one source. Consistent with FAR 11.002 and 11.101, the Government has described its needs in terms of the minimum salient characteristics necessary to meet its requirement rather than a specific manufacturer's product.
Offerors shall propose a standard, commercially available multiplate pipe arch that meets or exceeds the minimum span and rise dimensions and the 8 gauge minimum plate thickness stated in the Statement of Work. The Government recognizes that standard sections vary slightly between manufacturers; any off-the-shelf product meeting or exceeding the stated minimums will be considered acceptable. Offerors shall identify in their quote the manufacturer, model/series, actual nominal dimensions, gauge, and coating of the product offered. Shop drawings and structural details for the product offered are the responsibility of the successful offeror.
