Special Notice Salient Characteristic RFI (Not a Notice of Solicitation)

The United States Air Force, 99 CONS, Nellis AFB, NV, is requesting a review of the salient

characteristics document for 820 RHS Well Cameras. Responding firms should confirm whether

the document accurately defines the requirements and provides sufficient detail for contractors to

meet customer needs. Please review the attached document and identify any missing or unclear

details.

All contractors submitting a response shall submit comments on how to improve the salient

characteristic document. As stipulated in FAR 15.201, responses to this notice are not considered

offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No solicitation

(Request for Quotes) exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. The decision to

solicit for a contract shall be solely within the Government's discretion.

The NAICS Code assigned to this acquisition is 333310 – Commercial and Service Industry

Machinery Manufacturing with a size standard of 1,000 persons.

Any information submitted by respondents to request for information is voluntary. This sources

sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the

Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in response to

this notice. Respondents will not be individually notified of the results of any Government

assessments. The Government's assessment of the capability statements received will factor into

whether any forthcoming solicitation will be conducted as a full and open competition or as a

set-aside for small businesses, or any particular small business program. To ensure your

response along with any and all attachments are received, attachment(s) must be less than

10 MB [in total]. It is the responsibility of the respondent to contact the government to

confirm receipt prior to the offer due date and time.

Salient Characteristics

The 820th RED HORSE Squadron needs two replacement borehole downhole cameras for the Well Drilling Unit Type Code. This downhole camera must reach a min of 1200 ft, connected to motorized cart with multiple camera variations such as fisheye and standard capabilities.
