426553 RFQ RFP FOR MEDICAL DIRECTOR 31-Jul-2026 14-AUG-2026 14:00:00 The City of Oakland, Fire Department, seeks a Medical Director to serve in several critical capacities with the Medical Services Division (MSD). This position is responsible for providing physician oversight of the emergency medical services and controlled substances programs that concern paramedic drug inventories. Key duties include, but are not limited to, clinical oversight of all Fire Department Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Paramedics, and dispatchers and medical oversight of the department’s infection control programs. The Medical Director also serves as the lead in quality assurance and improvement programs.
