Invitation to Bidders
Invitation to Bid. The Village of Vernon Hills, 290 Evergreen Drive, Vernon Hills, IL (“Owner”) invites sealed Bidder’s Proposals for the Work described in detail in the Contract and generally described as follows: Museum Blvd. Intersection Improvements. 1. Instruction to Bidders. Bid Packets (containing Proposal Forms, Specifications, Instructions, and Relevant Attachments) may be obtained electronically starting at 7:30 AM on June 12, 2026 by sending an e-mail request to Carissa Hansen at CarissaH@vhills.org. Bids should be submitted at the Village Hall at 290 Evergreen Drive, Vernon Hills, IL 60061 in sealed envelopes that are clearly labeled on the outside-“Bid for Museum Blvd Intersection Improvements”. There should be 2 copies provided of the proposal in the sealed envelope. 1. Bid Opening. Owner will receive sealed Bidder’s Proposals for the Work until 2:00 p.m., June 30, 2026 at Owner’s office listed above, at which time all Bidder’s Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Late bids will be returned unopened. 2. Bid Security, Bond and Insurance. A. Proposal Guarantee. A Proposal Guarantee in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall be required. Bid Bond, Bank Cashier’s Check, Bank Draft, or Certified Check made payable to the Village of Vernon Hills, shall accompany all proposals. B. Insurance. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish certificates and policies of insurance as required by the Contract upon award of the Contract.
