Description

PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS

  1. The Windows Based, TODS and MSTS equipment is no longer in production and the remaining equipment and spare parts from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) should be used. They are necessary "obsolete" spares needed for system maintenance.

  2. Utilize the proprietary software required to run the diagnostics on Windows Based, TODS and MSTS equipment to facilitate required repair of components after they have been removed for repair. Without this software there is no way to resolve MSTS component failures.

SERVICES – THE SUPPLIER SHALL:

  1. Provide personnel and any other resources necessary to perform the tasks specified herein, including the appropriate management activities to ensure timely and economical execution of the defined responsibilities.

  2. Respond to a Service Request by placing an Engineer at the USN site no later than the next business day provided that the call is received within the Period of Maintenance (POM). When the Supplier responds to calls within the POM which respond beyond the POM, the work shall be considered performed during the POM.

  3. Provide remedial maintenance for the Covered Hardware. Remedial maintenance includes but is not limited to the troubleshooting and repair of failed equipment due to normal wear and tear. Remedial maintenance does not include software support.

  4. Assume all responsibilities and costs for tools, test equipment, spare parts, replacement units, and any other items required to provide adequate remedial maintenance for the Covered Hardware with the exception that some of the existing USN spare parts may be needed for repair due to age and availability.

  5. Make all reasonable efforts to safeguard and protect equipment, programs, documentation, and files from damage, loss or corruption while performing a service on USN owned equipment. It shall be the primary responsibility of USN to ensure the security of USN owned system, data, programs and files.

  6. The supplier may at its option swap failed equipment with like equipment when extensive repairs may be necessary or result in extensive system down time. When swapping equipment, the Supplier shall use equipment equal to or better than the original equipment, with respect to form, fit, function, capabilities and reliability and shall not exceed the maintenance cost of the original item. The swapped equipment will become the property of USN and will replace the original item in the Covered Hardware. Displaced parts shall become the property of the supplier unless explicitly agreed to in advance.
