Description

NREL is looking to take ownership of a Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) 2.3-108 wind turbine that was installed at the NREL Flatirons Campus in 2009. The turbine is intended to become a research platform (as opposed to producing power for revenue). NREL is looking for a maintenance provider to keep this turbine safely operating.

The overall objective is for NREL to find a maintenance provider for the SGRE 2.3-108 wind turbine. The information received in response to this RFI will guide NREL’s focus for writing a requirements document to meet our overall research goals. The project objective, at a high level, is to procure services to provide maintenance to keep turbine in safe operating condition.
