Description

The CONTRACTOR shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, incidental materials, and consumables to perform the installation of the Unit 1 Boiler Superheater replacement work scope as outlined in the Contract documents.  The work includes CONTRACTOR’S removal of original materials and installation of new DISTRICT supplied materials at the Sheldon Station Unit 1 boiler to include:

  • Reheat Superheater (RHSH) heating surface replacement including the entire inlet and outlet sections. The RHSH consists of a total of 188 circuits. The outlet section includes 47 panels with four circuits while the inlet section includes 63 total panels, 62 with 3 circuits and a single panel with just 2 circuits.
  • Replacement of the reheat inlet and outlet refractory crown seals located within the boiler penthouse.
  • Twelve (12) each thermocouples for installation on select RHSH outlet tubes.

Pre-Bid Meeting Details

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit for prospective Bidders will be held at Sheldon Station, located at 4500 Pella Road, Hallam, Nebraska, at 10:00 a.m., CDT on July 1, 2026, for the purpose of reviewing the Contract specifications and to answer any questions or clarifications the Bidder may have concerning the Contract requirements. It is the Bidder’s responsibility, while attending the pre-bid meeting and site visit, to ask any questions necessary to understand the requirements of the Contract so the Bidder can submit a bid that is complete and according to the specifications. It is highly encouraged that all prospective Bidders attend this meeting.
