Business Support Services for the Rural Econnectivity (Reconnect) Program

Rural Development (RD) is committed to helping improve the economy and quality

of life in rural America. Through RD programs, we help rural Americans in many

ways. RD’s funding mechanisms through financed loans, loan guarantees, and grants

help to create jobs and support economic development and essential services such as

housing, health care, first responder services and equipment, water, electric and

communications infrastructure. RD administers various Rural Utilities Service (RUS)

Telecommunications Program loan and grant programs. These programs provide

financial assistance in the form of loans and grants for the construction, improvement

and acquisition of facilities and infrastructure necessary to deliver broadband services

to rural areas.

The ReConnect Program is an initiative aimed at expanding access to broadband

internet services in rural areas. The goal of the program is to facilitate high-speed

internet connectivity in communities that are underserved or lack sufficient access to

reliable, high-quality broadband service. The purpose of this effort is to review

applications from eligible entities which includes but is not limited to; environmental

compliance reviews, requirements, regulations and policies.

The award is a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ)

contract with a 3-year ordering period from May 1, 2025 through April 30, 2028.
