SCOPE OF WORK
ThisRequestforQuotation(RFQ)outlinesthespecificationsforprofessionalHVACduct and
diffusercleaningservices forapproximately 40unitsatthe GuamVisitorsBureau,detailing
projectprep,mechanicalcleaning, andfinalverification. Mustbea memberoftheNationalAir
DuctCleanersAssociation(NADCA).
Asitevisit ishighly encouragedtoensurethata completeandresponsiblebidis offered.
Provideallcosttoincludelabor.
Mustbeavailableforthisservice Monday~ Fridayfrom8AM~ 5PMor onweekendsfrom8AM

Project Overview & Preparation
System Shutdown: Turn off HVAC units safely before work begins.
Area Protection: Cover nearby floors, furniture, and equipment with protective
plastic sheeting.
Negative Pressure: Connect HEPA vacuum units to capture dust and prevent room
contamination.
Access Openings: Cut or use existing access doors; seal tightly post-cleaning with
code-compliant materials.
Mechanical Cleaning & Debris Extraction
Agitation: Use rotating soft brushes, air whips, or compressed air nozzles in ducts.
Extraction: Pull loosened particles backward into the negative air machine.
Dampers & Vents: Handle internal control dampers carefully and reset to fully
open positions.
Grilles, Covers, and Diffusers
Removal: Take down supply and return covers, registers, and diffusers.
Washing: Clean with safe solutions or degreasers, rinse completely, and dry.
Reinstallation: Mount securely without damaging surrounding walls or ceilings.
Containment andAir Quality Control
The Contractor shall isolate all active work areas using dust-tight plastic
containment barriers.
Negative air pressure machines equipped with certified HEPA filters must operate
continuously during all dust-generating activities.
The contractor must prevent any dust, debris, or mold spores from migrating into
public or adjacent spaces.
Mold Remediation andAnti-Microbial Treatment
All mold remediation must strictly follow IICRC S520 standard guidelines.
The Contractor shall clean all affected surfaces using EPA-registered anti-
microbial treatments.
These treatments must be applied according to the manufacturer's exact
specifications to prevent future fungal growth.
Contractor Qualifications
Bidders must submit proof of valid mold remediation certifications with their
proposal.
Bidders must document at least three years of experience handling
environmental hazards in commercial or public spaces.
Verification & Handover
Visual Check: Inspect via flashlight/mirror or robotic camera to ensure zero
visible dust.
Final Report: Provide all service documentation (before-and-after logs) with
invoice upon completion of work.
