Project Description: Sealed proposals will be received electronically via the Pennbid Program until July 17, 2026 at 12:00 pm. The bids will be received from PennBid and tabulated results will be available on PennBid after the bid opening, with action tentatively planned to be taken by Borough Council at their monthly meeting on Monday July 27, 2026 at approximately 7:00 pm in the Municipal Meeting Room, 197 Pennsylvania Avenue, Bangor, PA for:
Bangor Borough N. Main Street Storm Sewer
Specifications and bid forms are available on Pennbid. Proposals must be submitted electronically on Pennbid. Each bidder is required to bid on the total project. All quantities listed are approximate. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $825.00 per calendar day. All Bidders are invited to attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting at Bangor Borough Hall on July 10, 2026 at 10:00 am.
Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check made payable to "Bangor Borough" in the amount of 10% of the total bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder shall provide a performance bond or certified check to the municipality in the amount of 100% of the contract within 20 days after the contract is awarded.
The municipality reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any defects, errors, omissions, mistakes, irregularities, informalities, or technicalities in any bid. All bids shall be irrevocable for sixty (60) days after the bid opening date.
