ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID
Hinsdale Township High School District 86, 5500 South Grant Street, Hinsdale, Illinois 60521, will
receive sealed bids for:
BID 26-014 2026 ASBESTOS WORK REMOVAL FOR
HINSDALE CENTRAL AND HINSDALE SOUTH HIGH SCHOOL
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive irregularities in the bidding procedure, or
accept the Bid that in its opinion will serve its best interest. Any such decision shall be considered
final. The Owner reserves the right to set aside a Bid from a Contractor who, in the Owner’s opinion, does
not exhibit past experience equal to the size and scope of this project.
The bidder shall complete all of the attached Certificates and Authorizations as required in specification.
A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Wednesday January 14, 2026, at 2:30 P.M., at the
following location and time: Hinsdale Central High School – 5500 South Grant Street, Hinsdale, IL 60521
(Door #5) then going to Hinsdale South High School. Interested bidders are required to attend this meeting
and visit the work sites. Attendees must have a State issued I.D. for entrance to the schools.
The Bid Opening will be on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hinsdale Township High
School District #86 Administration Offices. At this time, the Bids will be opened and read. The
Contractor must pay Prevailing Wage Rates for all work as required by Illinois Law.
Hard Copy specifications may be obtained at the mandatory pre-bid walk through Midwest
Environmental Consulting Services, the Consultant. Bidders must call 24 hours prior to the walk through
to reserve a set of specifications. There will be a $100.00 non-refundable deposit for each set requested.

The Contractor must be a State of Illinois Licensed Asbestos Abatement Contractor and registered as an
Illinois Corporation with a local office located in Illinois.
