DESCRIPTION: The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools is seeking qualified vendors to provide physical education and wellness services for students in Alternative Education programs throughout San Bernardino County, promoting fitness, healthy lifestyles, student engagement, and positive youth development.

This Addendum modifies the original RFP Document dated August 13, 2026, and Addendum No. 1 dated August 31, 2026, as indicated herein.
All addenda must be acknowledged in the designated space on the SIGNATURE PAGE. Failure to do so will render the proposal
non-responsive.
1. Is the Vendor compensated for the scheduled hours agreed upon regardless of daily student attendance,
or is compensation adjusted based on attendance or ADA?
ANSWER: The vendor is compensated for the hours they work, regardless of ADA.
2. Are invoiceable hours limited to structured activity time, or do they also include setup, teardown, and
documentation?
ANSWER: Invoiceable hours should include all duties associated with the approved services provided
during the scheduled service period, including but not limited to instruction, setup, cleanup, preparation,
documentation, and other related program responsibilities.
3. Upon contract expiration or termination, does equipment purchased by the Vendor remain Vendor
property or transfer to the Superintendent? In the event of early termination for convenience, is the
Vendor compensated for unamortized equipment?
ANSWER: Equipment purchased by the Vendor remains the Vendor's property. SUPERINTENDENT
anticipates providing most program equipment. Vendors will not be compensated for unamortized
equipment costs in the event of contract termination.
4. During the three (3) to five (5) daily service hours, is Vendor personnel delivering structured P.E./wellness
sessions for the full duration, or is a portion of that time expected to be non-instructional support such as
campus supervision or mentoring? If the latter, approximately what proportion?
ANSWER: Service hours may include structured P.E./wellness activities, coaching, supervision, mentoring,
and other program-related support. Specific schedules and duties will be determined by each site
principal.
5. How many weeks of service does the contract year comprise, and does this include intersession or
summer programming?
ANSWER: Services are anticipated to be provided during approximately 36 weeks of the regular school
year, plus approximately 4 weeks of limited summer programming. Summer services are expected to be
approximately four hours per day.

6. May the Program Supervisor be proposed as a separate monthly program management fee, or must all
supervisory costs be incorporated into the hourly instructional rates?
ANSWER: Yes, please provide all applicable information as outlined in Section VIII. Fee Disclosure, of the
Proposal Content/Evaluation Criteria section on page 16.
7. Does the Superintendent intend to award the contract to a single vendor or to multiple vendors?
ANSWER: Single Vendor.
8. Are the three to five service hours per day expected at each of the seven sites or across the entire
program?
ANSWER: The three (3) to five (5) service hours per day are expected at each site.
9. Will services take place at multiple sites at the same time, or can the vendor use a rotating schedule?
ANSWER: Services are expected to occur at multiple sites concurrently. A rotating schedule is not
anticipated.
10. Can you provide the expected schedule, student count, grade levels, and average group size for each
site?
ANSWER: Student enrollment varies by site and may range from approximately 10 to more than 100
students. Grade levels served are generally grades 7-12, except at the Victorville Education Center, which
serves grades 3-12. Current enrollment counts by site are as follows:

11. Is there a guaranteed minimum number of service hours of sites, schedules, enrollment, or funding
change?
ANSWER: No. Actual schedules, school locations, student enrollment, and service levels may vary
throughout the contract term based upon SUPERINTENDENT program operational needs, funding
availability, and enrollment. SUPERINTENDENT reserves the right to add, remove, or modify assigned
locations and service schedules as necessary.
12. Can travel time and milage be included in the pricing, especially for Victorville and Yucca Valley?
ANSWER: Travel-related costs should be incorporated into the Vendor’s proposed pricing. Vendors should
review the LIST OF SITES on page 13 of RFP No. 26.27.0485 when developing their pricing proposals.
13. Do the students ever travel for the program?
ANSWER: Yes. On occasion, SUPERINTENDENT-approved staff may transport students between sites for
sports-related activities and events.
14. Is there storage for equipment at the sites?
ANSWER: Yes, storage space is available at the sites.
15. Is this a custodial program, or are teachers and aides responsible for supervision, student health,
medication, emergency response.
ANSWER: SUPERINTENDENT staff are responsible for student supervision, health needs, medication
administration, and emergency response.
16. Is the program centralized or do vendors work directly with POC at each school?
ANSWER: Vendors will coordinate day-to-day operations with site administrators. Overall program
administration and contract management will be coordinated through the SUPERINTENDENT office.
