Project Description: The McDowell Median Improvements consists of improvements to an approximately 1.1-mile-long section of McDowell Road from Litchfield Road to Dysart Road, including the intersection of Litchfield Road & McDowell Road. The proposed improvements are to reconstruct and widen the east and west bound lanes to provide one additional travel lane in each direction. Reconstruction will include pavement and streetlight removal, modification to/ installation of median(s) with landscaping, including curb and gutter, landscaping restoration and irrigation, concrete sidewalks, assessment of roadway infrastructure for drainage improvements, signage and pavement markings, new streetlights, bus bay shelter(s), and traffic signal modifications.
