This addendum provides a summary of the questions/answers received and shall be considered
as part of the proposal and contract documents.
1. What is the required minimum number of devices? 25 devices
2. The RFP format on page 8 outlines a technical proposal that includes Section 10 for
pricing. However, page 9 indicates that pricing should also be submitted in a separate
format and document.
a. Can the City please confirm whether proposers should include pricing only in the
separate pricing document, and may we reference that document within the
technical proposal (Section 10 – Pricing) rather than duplicating the information?
Pricing should be provided as a separate document. You may reference the
document in the original proposal rather than duplicating the information.
3. Does Galesburg currently have a GIS system that includes pipe material, pipe size, and
hydrant locations? Yes
a. If so, will GIS data be made available at the time of award? Yes
4. Does Galesburg have PVC or other plastic pipe within its distribution system? Yes
5. Approximately how many miles of pipe are in Galesburg’s system? 210

6. For the 90-day trial period, does Galesburg intend to evaluate multiple vendors, or will
the trial be conducted with a single selected vendor? Single selected vendor
7. What is the anticipated size of the pilot program? If possible, please provide this in miles
of pipe. Approximately 6 city blocks
8. What is Galesburg’s anticipated deployment strategy for the full project? Start with 25
listening devices and systematically move them through the city in a grid pattern.
