2025 Roadway Reconstruction and Water Main Replacement Project

The City of Lockport will receive sealed bids for PCC Sidewalk removal and replacement for ADA compliance, Curb and Gutter removal and replacement, Drainage Improvements, Driveway Removal and Replacement, HMA Surface Removal, Class D Patching, HMA Surface Course, Pavement Markings, Regulatory Signs, Parkway Restoration, and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project all in accordance with the Specifications and Contract Documents for the 2025 Roadway Reconstruction and Water Main Replacement Project 24-203. Prospective bidders are advised to carefully review the Plan, General Conditions, Special Conditions, Special Provisions, and Details of this document.

Prequalification: Prequalification by IDOT will be required of all contractors and subcontractors on this project in the respective discipline(s) they will be responsible for constructing. ?HMA contractor must be prequalified with the “003 ? Hot-Mix Asphalt (HMA) Plant Mix”.

Obtaining Bid Documents: The Bidding Documents can be downloaded from the Chamlin & Associates, Inc. website https://chamlin.com/bid-list/ . ?A hard copy of the plans may also be viewed at Chamlin’s offices located at 221 W. Washington Street, Morris, Illinois 60450. Contractors must be shown on the Bidder’s Plan Holder List in order to bid. Bids received from contractors who are not in the Bidder’s Plan holder List will be rejected.

Bids will be received until December 20, 2024, at 10:30 A.M. local time, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read.?The bid opening will be held at the City of Lockport City Hall, third floor, City Clerk’s Office, 222 E. 9 ^th Street, Lockport, IL 60441. All bids must be received prior to the date and time shown above. ?Bids transmitted by facsimile or email will not be accepted.
