General Statement of Work
Construction of safety related signal and median improvements at three intersections in the Montbello neighborhood on Peoria Street at 44th, 46th, and on 47th Avenue just west of Peoria at Paris Street. At, Peoria St and 44th Ave - Modify the raised-curb median to restrict eastbound left-turn vehicle movements and install a partial signal that would allow for protected northbound left-turn movements. At, Peoria St and 46th Ave - Install a new (standard) traffic signal and related improvements to ADA ramps, sidewalk and median removal. At, 47th Ave and Paris St - Widen 47th Avenue in the vicinity of Paris Street and provide a raised-curb median to restrict southbound Paris Street to right-in right-out and to restrict left-turns from 47th Avenue to Paris Street.
This project is part of the 2021 RISE Denver Bond Program, which is a 10-year, $260 million general obligation bond program approved by voters in 2021. The program will drive economic recovery by creating thousands of jobs, investing in local businesses, and bringing critical infrastructure and community assets to historically underserved areas of the city. Through four different categories of infrastructure projects, RISE Denver will serve our most vulnerable residents and unhoused neighbors, increase mobility and safety in our neighborhoods and accessibility within city facilities, and preserve Denver’s history and culture through building restorations. Prequalification: Each bidder must be prequalified in category 1D-1. Traffic Signals, Lighting, and ITS and 1F-3. Concrete Sidewalk, Curb, Gutter, and ADA Ramps at or above the $3,000,000.00 monetary level in accordance with the City’s Rules and Regulations Governing Prequalification of Contractors.
