ACA Coordinator for Pre-Sentenced Inmates

The Volusia County Division of Corrections is looking to provide a service that would provide healthcare coverage to qualified inmates via the affordable care act.

We are in search of a company that could provide such services to the County with minimal impact to the current workflow within the jail.

All proposals should be at no cost to the county or the inmate.

With an average daily population of 1,400 inmates, healthcare is one of the biggest challenges the county faces. Being able to provide healthcare coverage to individuals that are incarcerated and post release is a win for both the county and the inmates. This will increase the chances of a successful re-entry into society while saving both the county and inmates money.

An easy to follow application process, minimal impact on staff labor, and maintaining the inmate's healthcare upon release into the community are all significant factors for the success of this proposed project.
