INVITATION FOR BIDS
The Town of Chatham is soliciting sealed bids pursuant to the provisions of G.L. c. 30B, §5 for 90 Bridge Street Shellfish Propagation Equipment, until 2:00PM, local time, Tuesday, June 11, 2026 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. Such Bids shall be addressed to the Town Manager and endorsed "BID FOR 90 BRIDGE STREET SHELLFISH PROPAGATION EQUIPMENT”.
The Town of Chatham seeks to procure FRP seawater intakes, intake hoses, clam raceways, upweller tanks and silos, delivered to the project site or another location within the Town of Chatham. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. Supplier shall be able to place order prior to June 30, 2026.

To be given consideration, all questions must be received by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2026. No questions will be answered if received after the deadline indicated.
Any and all interpretations and any supplemental instructions will be in the form of written Addenda to the Contract Documents which, if issued, will be provided to all persons on record as having received a complete set of Contract Documents at the respective addresses furnished for such purposes. Such Addenda will be provided not later than 48 hours prior to the time set for opening of bids. Failure of any Bidder to receive any Addendum or interpretation shall not relieve such bidder from any obligation under his Bid as submitted. No oral interpretations will be made to any potential respondent as to the meaning of any requirements specified within this Invitation for Bids. In preparing its proposal, the Contractor shall rely only on what has been communicated in writing, and no oral communication shall become the basis for any subsequent protest of the selection process.
Each bid shall be submitted to the Town of Chatham Town Manager and endorsed "BID FOR 90 BRIDGE STREETSHELLFISH PROPOGATION EQUIPMENT” at 549 Main Street, Chatham, MA 02633, on or before 2:00 pm Tuesday June 11, 2026 local time. Each bid shall be in a separate sealed envelope. Award is subject to appropriation and the availability of sufficient funding. Bids will be awarded based on the Base Bid, Reference Checks, and ability to place order by June 30, 2026.
The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids if it be in the public interest to do so.
