NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Internet bids will be received by the Arkansas Department of Transportation until ten o’clock a.m., (10:00 a.m.) and until one thirty p.m., (1:30 p.m.), May 20, 2026. A complete listing of the jobs to be included in this letting and the corresponding plans and proposal documents can be found on the Department’s website at www.ardot.gov/divisions/program-management/construction-contract-development/construction-contractors/currently-advertised-projects .
Requests to become an eligible bidder and questions regarding prequalification or bidding requirements should be addressed to the Arkansas Department of Transportation, Program Management Division at pmd@ardot.gov or via telephone at (501) 569 2261. Requests to become an eligible bidder must be received by 4:30 p.m. on the day prior to the scheduled bid letting.
In order to have a bid considered, contractors must furnish a proposal guaranty consisting of either a bidder’s bond or a certified or cashier’s check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. In order for a bond to be acceptable to the Department, the company issuing the bond must be named in the Department of Treasury Listing of companies holding Certificates of Authority as acceptable sureties on Federal Bonds and as acceptable reinsuring companies. The Underwriting Limitation of the bonding company shall be adhered to. Any excess (between the face amount of the Bond and the Underwriting Limitation) shall be protected by reinsurance provided by an acceptable reinsuring company.
