Sealed bids for Springdale Recreation Center Renovations

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for Springdale Recreation Center Renovations project will be received by the City of Springdale, Arkansas, in the City Administration Building, 201 Spring St., Springdale, Arkansas 72764, until 2:00 p.m. (local time), May 11th, 2026, and then at said location publicly opened and read aloud.
The major items of work include:
Restroom remodel, including replacement of restroom fixtures, demolition of block stall dividers, replacement of countertops, construction of new block wall, construction of new wall in janitor’s closet, removal of epoxy floor sealant, floor refinishing, sheetrock and paint repair, and additional wall construction.
Construction of new front reception area and storage room, consisting of construction of front counter with ADA compliant features, construction of new walls and doorways, installation of windows, electrical outlets, drop ceiling, and fire suppression, painting, and floor repairs.
Concession area floor repairs, consisting of demolition and removal of old tile and grinding/polishing of concrete slab to match existing outside concession floors.

A mandatory pre-bid conference will take place on site at 1906 Cambridge Street, Springdale, AR on May 4th, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Interested bidders are required to attend the conference to ensure adequate understanding of project scope and requirements. An owner’s representative will be on site to address any questions presented by bidders during the conference. Submissions by bidders not noted as being present at the pre-bid conference will not be accepted.
Each bidder must deposit bid security in the amount, from and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. All bidders must be licensed under the terms of Act 150 of the 1965 Acts of the Arkansas Legislature, including subsequent amendments.
All bids shall be sealed and the envelopes addressed to City of Springdale Parks & Recreation Department, PO Box 42, Springdale, Arkansas 72764. All bids shall be plainly marked on the outside of the envelope specifying that it is a bid for “Springdale Recreation Center Renovations”, the time for opening of bids, and the name and current contractor’s license number of the bidder.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw a bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening. The successful bidder must furnish a performance and payment bond upon the form provided in the amount of 100% of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Arkansas to act as surety, or other surety or sureties acceptable to the Owner.
