Sidewalk Improvement Program Contractor

Invitation to Bid

The Commissioners of Cambridge are soliciting sealed proposals from qualified contractors for the construction of the concrete sidewalks as part of the Concrete Improvement Program. Work consists of removing and replacing concrete sidewalk per the estimated quantities in the Bid Schedule.

Sealed bids will be received by the Department of Public Services, 1025 Washington Street, Cambridge, Maryland 21613 until 1:00 p.m. (EST) on Friday, September 4th, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The Contract Documents may be examined at the Department of Public Services, 1025 Washington Street, Cambridge, Maryland 21613.  Digital copies will be provided at no cost.

The successful bidder must agree to commence work on or before a date specified in a written “Notice to Proceed” from the Owner, and to fully complete the project within 90 calendar days.

Bidders shall visit the site before submitting a bid for this work and thoroughly familiarize themselves as to the accuracy and correctness of the same.

The City of Cambridge reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive informalities or irregularities as it may deem best for its interest.

No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
