Fire Extinguisher & Kitchen Exhaust Hood Fire Suppression System Inspections
Guilford County Schools is seeking bids from qualified vendors to supply all labor to perform NFPA testing and
inspection of fire extinguishers and Kitchen Exhaust Hood Fire Suppression systems in all Guilford County
Schools locations. Sealed bids will be received by the Guilford County Schools Purchasing Department at 714
Green Valley Road, Greensboro, North Carolina 27408, until 2:00 PM, August 18, 2026.
A pre-bid conference will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM at 714 Green Valley Road,
Greensboro, NC 27408, in Conference Room 2A. Each vendor interested in participating on this bid opportunity
is encouraged to attend. All vendors must sign-in upon arrival. The purpose of the pre-bid conference is to
discuss the requirements of the bid and to acquaint perspective bidders with the conditions and requirements of
the task to be performed.

Questions regarding the bid need to be submitted via email to saltera4@gcsnc.com by 1:00 PM on
Monday, August 10, 2026. Question emails need to have “Questions for IFB #6843” in the subject
line. Answers to questions will be posted via addendum no later than Wednesday, August 12, 2026,
at 4:00 PM.
GCS reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids presented, and the right to waive any informalities and
irregularities. It also reserves the right to reject any, and all bids not considered to be in the best interest of
GCS, to negotiate with one or more of the company’s submitting bids, or to reject all bids.
