This project consists of (2) preschool facilities of approximately 41,252 square feet. (1) each facility will be constructed at both existing elementary schools, (Norge & Clara Byrd Baker). Each facility is comprised of 18 classrooms, toilets, storage spaces, multi-purpose room, an administration suite, warming kitchen, guidance, testing, utility spaces, interior signage & exterior school identification signs as well as play areas immediately adjacent to the classrooms.
The Work in general includes, concrete slabs, metal stud walls, structural steel, steel joists, TPO membrane roofing, metal roofing, hollow metal doors and frames, wood doors, aluminum windows, aluminum storefront, hardware, glazing, heating-ventilating-air conditioning, electrical systems, lighting, fire alarm, sprinkler system, security systems, site work utilities, grading, roadwork, landscaping, retaining walls, low impact development stormwater management, decorative fencing, emergency generators, canopies at both bus and parent drop off areas and parking lots.
Clara Byrd Baker will require a new 16” diameter water main to be installed.
