Water System Improvements FY25
Due West, South Carolina
Donalds-Due West Water & Sewer Authority (Owner) is requesting Bids for the Water System
Improvements FY25 project which includes furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to
construct the following summary of Work: approximately 8,045 LF of 6” DI waterlines with 6 connections
to the existing system and misc. appurtenances including 14 fire hydrants in Due West, SC.
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Owner’s office located at 134 N.
Main Street, Donalds, South Carolina 29638, until September 4, 2026 at 10:00 am local time. At that time
the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.
Bidding Documents are available in PDF format from Dunn & Shirley, LLC for a non-refundable charge of
$100.00. Contact Carlyle Shirley, PE at (864) 379-4655 or carlyle@dunnshirley.com to request Bidding
Documents. Deposit checks should be made payable to Dunn & Shirley, LLC, 105 W. Pickens Street,
Abbeville, SC 29620. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding
Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
There is no pre-bid conference for this project. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable
to Owner in an amount of 5 percent of Bidder’s maximum Bid price. For all further requirements regarding
bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are
included in the Bidding Documents.
The project is funded by the State Revolving Fund (“SRF”) and Bidders must comply with all applicable
state and federal requirements identified in the Bidding Documents including “American Iron & Steel”
(“AIS”) and “Davis-Bacon and Related Acts” (“DBRA”).
