Description
This project involves the installation of a potable water supply pipeline from the Ralston Water Treatment Plant to the Hamlet of Suffield, Alberta. The 2.2 km long 150 mm diameter HDPE DR11 pipeline will generally be installed by horizontal directional drilling. Work will also include the supply and installation of a water meter chamber as well as the demolition and abandonment of the existing water supply line and reservoir.
Overall, the scope of Work includes, but is not limited to, the following:
• Clean tie-in to existing water main
• Supply and installation of 2.2 km of water supply pipeline
• Supply and installation of valves, flushing hydrants and air release structures
• Supply and installation of a water meter vault
• Replacement and realignment of barbed wire fencing
• Abandonment of existing water supply pipeline
• Abandonment of existing water meter vaults
• Demolition of existing water reservoir and filter tanks
The Site of the Work of this Contract is located in Cypress County, Alberta near the Hamlet of Suffield.
