The State University of New York at Upstate Medical University will receive sealed bids for Project Number. 1555 Titled Bio Tech Parking Lot Modifications, BTEK until 2:00 p.m. local time on 7/31/2025 at: Delivered to: Ms. Ivy Lopez/Mrs. Jeanie Pender Contracts & Campus Purchasing SUNY Upstate Medical University Dr. Sarah Loguen Center, 2 nd floor 650 South Salina Street, Room 2050 Syracuse, New York 13202 where such proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals may be hand delivered or mailed to the above location and must be received at such time. Scope of work: is to include all necessary labor, material and equipment for interconnecting two (2) parking lots at the Bio Tech Research Center, 841 East Fayette Street, Syracuse, NY. Currently the two lots are independently accessed through parking gates off Washington Street and off East Fayette Street. The modifications are required to access both lots during the time NYDOT is constructing the extension of Irving Avenue to I-690 as part of the I-81 project. All work on this Contract is to be completed within 90 calendar days after the date of the Notice to Proceed. Complete sets of Contract Documents for bidding may be examined free of charge at the campus and at the following locations. Complete sets of Contract Documents for bidding may only be obtained from Syracuse Blue Print Co Inc. ( https://www.syracuseblueprintplanroom.com/jobs/public ). Section 143 of the State Finance Law requires payment of a deposit to receive these documents. Accordingly, a deposit check of $49.00, made payable to SUNY Upstate Medical University , is required. Deposits less than $50.00 are nonrefundable. Deposits will be waived for certified Minority and Women Owned and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses. The site will be made available for inspection and the bidder shall examine the site prior to submitting it’s bid. The bidder can make arrangements to visit the site by contacting the designated staff: Stephen Macko Jr. at 315-428-9378. Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The selected contractor must comply with M/WBE goals. State University of New York goals are: 11% MBE and 19% WBE participation of the total contract value. State University of New York also has a goal for the Work Force participation: EEO 10% WBE and EEO 10% MBE of total work force on the project.
