Athabasca County is seeking Proposals from interested Proponents for the Onsite Contract Management of either or both Forfar Recreation Park and Hope Lake Campground for the 2026 season.
•
Forfar Recreation Park is a 73-stall site (plus a group site), un-serviced campground located at Long Lake, 43km southwest of the town of Athabasca.
•
Hope Lake Campground is a 53-stall site (plus a group site), un-serviced campground located at Hope Lake, approximately 20km northeast of the Village of Boyle.
•
The Contract Management will be provided with a serviced park model trailer onsite that will serve as a living quarters and campground office at both Forfar Recreation Park and Hope Lake Campground.
•
Refer to “Appendix B - Campground Facilities Map” for geographic reference of facilities. The campgrounds both feature a sani-dump, cookhouses, outhouses, playgrounds, an administrative office with a general store, and a boat launch with day use area. The campsites are furnished with fire pits and picnic tables by the County.
•
The campground(s) typically operate from the beginning of May until the end of September, weather dependent.
