Project Description: The McCullough Drive Extension project will improve accessibility for pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicular connections to the McCullough Drive light rail station as well as promote economic development by providing infrastructure to support and encourage transit supportive development. The extension of McCullough Drive will provide an alternate connection between W.T. Harris Blvd. and North Tryon St with the goal of providing a modern, complete street that includes upgraded pedestrian and bicycle facilities. This project will provide upgraded sidewalks, bike lanes, planting strips, pedestrian lighting, and street trees to achieve USDG guidelines. Work includes construction of concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, paving, grading, drainage, retaining walls, culverts, erosion control, and utilities.
