Project Description: Sealed bids will be received online by the Toboyne Township Board of Supervisors, 50 Lower Buck Ridge Road, Blain, PA 17006, until 11:00 o'clock a.m., prevailing time, September 2, 2026, for the repair of Bridge No. TBT-1, T-301 (Upper Buck Ridge Road) over Sherman Creek.
Sealed bids may be submitted online at PennBid until 11:00 a.m., eastern prevailing time, September 2, 2026. The bids will be publicly opened and read at 11:15 a.m. Documents and solicitation details are available at PennBid (www.pennbid.bonfire.com). Documents and solicitation details may be viewed and are available online at no cost by registering at PennBid.
The bids will also be publicly read at the meeting of the Toboyne Township Board of Supervisors, September 14, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. The meeting of the Toboyne Township Board of Supervisors will be held in person.
The bids must cover all costs for the completion of this project as set forth in the Contract Documents. The principle items of work to be performed under the contract are: (1) 30’-0” c/c bearings, steel open grid deck, steel I-beam superstructure repair; (2) steel bridge painting; (3) concrete backwall reconstruction; (4) asphalt approach roadway reconstruction; (5) maintenance and protection of traffic.
This project is subject to the Prevailing Wage Act requirements. Bidders must be PennDOT prequalified as specified in Section 102.01 and Section 102.06 (c) of Publication 408 for Work Class Code S2. Contractors qualifying as subcontractors may submit bids as a prime contractor, consistent with their qualifications.
Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to Toboyne Township in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid. Only bonds from companies licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will be accepted and the bond must state Pennsylvania licensure.
Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw bid within sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids.
Toboyne Township reserves the right to waive any informality, or to reject any or all bids.
