ISP Reconstruct Glycol Treatment System
Description:
The Scope of Work includes the construction for corrective action to be taken to the existing glycol treatment system (GTS) located at Long Island MacArthur Airport. The following modifications are included in the work to prevent or reduce the concentration of deicing fluid in the outfall:

Modification 1: Replace or modify a weir structure that is used to divert stormwater to the GTS to prevent or reduce stormwater leakage and bypass of the GTS to the extent practicable.

Modification 2: Modify the controls of the GTS influent pumps to limit fluctuation in pumping rate and maximize the hydraulic retention time within the gravel bed to promote biological activity.

Modification 3: Install control valves on the GTS supply lines to allow more uniform flow distribution within the gravel bed.
