Synopsis:

Purpose of this Advance Proposed Procurement Notice

This is an advance notice for the procurement of a Contractor to complete a Culvert-to-Bridge replacement on C.S. 3-03, over Prairie River located approximately 0.53 km east of Prairie River Access Rd. Please note that all quantities and project details are subject to change. This tender will have a shortened advertising period with a Winter Phase I completion date. The work is expected to take place as early as November 15, 2025. Tender documents will be added to Sasktenders when available. The Ministry reserves the right to not proceed with advertising this work.

Description of the Procurement

The roadway on Highway No. 3 has been excavated to expose the partially collapsed 17’10” (5.44m) width x 9’11” (3.02m) height galvanized oval corrugated metal culvert. The damaged portion of the culvert has been removed to allow stream flow, and the excavated earth material is stockpiled on site. C.S. 3-03 over Prairie River is closed off and traffic is diverted to local RM detour. The current local RM detour is maintained by others and shall be in place until February 28, 2025, or until the opening of the new bridge on temporary surfacing, whichever is earlier. The existing culvert shall be removed and replaced with a 3-span, 12m – 15m – 12m, 11m width, 30o LHF skew bridge. Contractors are encouraged to visit the site prior to bidding.
