Description:
City of Sheridan, Arkansas will accept lump sum bids for furnishing all tools, labor, materials, and equipment required to construct approximately 1,783 linear foot of 6 foot wide walkway improvements. The contractor shall provide all MUTCD, Erosion Control, Curb & Gutter, Concrete Drive Repairs, Drainage Piping, Inlet Boxes, Earthwork, Handicap Ramps, Crosswalk Striping, Ditch Re-Shaping, Handrails, fence relocation and other miscellaneous materials, etc. for a complete project according to project documents.
Bids will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. Local Time on March 2, 2026 at Sheridan City Hall, Sheridan, Arkansas. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud immediately after the specified closing time.
Bidding Documents may be examined at Sheridan City Hall, 106 W. Bell St, Sheridan, AR 72150.
Copies of the Bidding documents MUST be obtained at Sheridan City Hall in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders upon paying the sum of $75.00 for each set of documents. Documents acquired at locations other than Sheridan City Hall will not be accepted. Return of documents is not required, and amount paid for documents is not refundable. Partial sets are not available.
Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond executed on the prescribed form in the specifications, payable to the City of Sheridan, Arkansas in an amount not less than 5 percent of the amount bid as guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract if the bid is accepted. The bid proposal and work of the proposed contract shall be in accordance with all applicable federal, state, county, and local laws, ordinances and regulations. The attention of the Bidder is directed to the applicable federal and state requirements and conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under this contract.
BIDDERS ARE ADVISED that Arkansas State Contractor Licensing Law applies to this project. Subcontractors are also required to be licensed according to Arkansas State Law. Licensure is not required to submit a bid; however, evidence of licensure shall be provided to the Owner prior to signing the contract.
BIDDERS ARE ADVISED that BUY AMERICA PROVISIONS apply to this contract. The Arkansas Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, latest edition, Section 106 contains the requirements and restrictions for Buy America. 23 CFR ยง635.410 contains all federal requirements for Buy America.
CITY hereby notifies all bidders that this contract is subject to applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws, and other federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938. The Work Hours Act of 1962 and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 also apply.

The Owner reserves the right to: waive irregularities; reject any bid which contains material omissions, or irregularities, or in which any of the unit prices are obviously unbalanced in the opinion of the Owner; reject bid, if in any manner, shall fail to conform to the conditions of the Bidding Requirements and Contract Documents; choose the most qualified bidder for the Project, and to postpone award of the Contract for a period of time which shall not exceed beyond 90 days from the bid opening date.
