Description View Changes

Amendment 0002 answers questions submitted from potential offerors. As a result of those questions, changes have been made to the Statement of Work. Please see the attached documents for the details. Amendment 0002 also adds three additional attachments to the solicitation, J2, J3, and J4.



NOTE: The contractor shall reference Attachment J1 – Stage Dimensions, Attachment J2 – Theater Specifications, and Attachment J3 – Theater Curtain Specifications for dimensions, materials, design, and other details regarding the structure and use of the curtain and valance. These attachments are provided as an aid to contractor and do not relieve the contractor from responsibility for full inspection and field measurement of existing conditions prior to fabrication. The contractor shall use this information to inform their work plan but must field verify all measurements and receive written acceptance of all design, materials, and plans before proceeding with the work.

Amendment 0001 revises Section L clause 52.237-1 Site Visit to include the additional highlighted information; adds attachment J1 - Request for Stage Dimensions; and adds clause AOC 52.223-3 Security Markings to Section I for care of Architect of the Capitol stage dimension documentation.

This public notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial supplies and services, prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13. The solicitaiton is being released as a firm-fixed price contract competition.



The Library of Congress requires contractor support for an assessment of the condition of the curtain and valance at it's National Audiovisual Conservation Center theater. The assessment shall be followed by a report and recommendation for either curtain repair or curtain replacement so the Library may determine the preferred solution. The contractor shall complete the accepted recommendation of either repair or replacement.



Please see below for the SF1449 Request for Quote document for the full details of the requirement. Please note that the Library of Congress is holding an optional site visit during the solicitation period. See Section L of the Request for Quote for more information.



There is a site visit for this solicitation. Offerors who wish to attend the site visit must notify the Contracting Officer and Contract Specialist in writing by the date in the solicitation. See Section L of the solicitation for detailed information.



Questions are due in writing via email no later than 04/18/2025 at 12:00 PM EST. Answers to questions will be posted as an amendment to the solicitation.



Responses are due no later than 04/30/2025 at 5:00 PM EST.
