Description

DESCRIPTION:

The U. S Embassy Lusaka Zambia invites Expression of Interest for Interior Design Services to Re-design the US Embassy Lusaka Atrium.

The atrium of the U.S Embassy serves as a hub for visitors, employees, and inter agency large gatherings. The space would benefit from a redesign to improve function and aesthetics. Redesigning the atrium will create a welcoming and more functional environment that aligns with the building's purpose and architectural style.

The current atrium does not effectively support its intended uses, such as Embassy-wide engagement, efficient traffic flow, and multi-purpose events. A redesign is essential to:

  1. Enhance space utilization and accessibility.

  2. Design an inviting, aesthetically pleasing atrium space with cafeteria seating and small meeting spaces

  3. Maintain it as the primary gathering place for Embassy employees

  4. Make it a welcoming space for visitors

  5. Align the atrium with the identity and mission of the U.S Embassy Lusaka

  6. Allow for easy reconfiguration of proposed seating to serve the various needs of the embassy community

  7. Design an inviting space for the cafeteria and for small internal meetings:

    1. Design a multi-functional, comfortable cafeteria seating area to accommodate forty people (movable).

    2. Design a multiple seating areas to accommodate short-term, small-group internal meetings and gatherings
