The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) requires the services of professional multi-disciplinary general architectural and/or engineering (A&E) firms to provide services in support of the on-going capital improvement program and maintenance program, conduct special complex engineering/architectural studies, provide engineering and architectural support for recovery from urgent, emergent and emergency conditions, and provide design support for new capital rail construction, for bus system projects, for joint-development projects, for adjacent construction- related projects, for project and technology development projects, and for additional projects and services as required. Following are the Technical Categories for which qualification proposals are requested. ¿ Heavy Mechanical (Central Systems) ¿ Buildings and Facilities ¿ Signaling Systems ¿ Communications ¿ Civil and Structures ¿ Power Systems (LV/HV, AC/DC) This Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued in accordance with the Brooks Act 40 USC Sections 1101 through 1104. This is solicitation is for Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Task Order Contract for professional Architectural and Engineering (A&E) services against which task orders for specific project requirements will be issued. The definitive scope of each project request for A&E services will be defined in a Task Order Statement of Work (SOW) provided with a request for proposal for each task order. The Task Order SOW will include the overall intent of the individual task order. WMATA anticipates selecting at least three (3) most highly qualified or equivalently highly qualified firms for this IDIQ Multiple Award Task Order Contract for each Technical Category.
