Richley Road over Murder Creek Bridge Replacement Project
Description:

Richley Road over Murder Creek Bridge Replacement in the Town of Darien, Genesee County. Replace the structurally deficient CMPA culverts with a new Precast concrete 3-Sided Rigid Frame Structure (35 ft clean span x 10 ft frame height), founded on bed rock. The roadway reconstructed highway section over the culvert will be 8" of asphalt with 12" of subbase maintaining a similar existing roadway profile to meet the hydraulic design criteria requirements for a bridge. The proposed work will be performed while traffic is maintained via an offside detour, utilizing Richley Road, Harper Road, Summer Road (County Road 21) and Simmons Road. Additional work will involve approximately 80 ft of approach roadway reconstruction on each side of the bridge, installation of heavy stone fill aprons and guide railing replacement.

This project has a 5.9% EEO goal for minority participation and 6.9% goal for women participation. This contract is federally funded and has a DBE goal of 5%.
