Scope of Work:
Remove and replace four (4) rooftop units serving the library. Remove two (2) existing steam air handlers in mechanical mezzanine. New VRF air handler system to serve ROTC offices, photo classroom, and metal shop office. Three (3) new rooftop units to serve G hall hallway, G7 & G9 classrooms. Two (2) new gas-fired furnaces with split-dx outdoor condensing units serving metal shop classroom. Miscellaneous roof work including curbs, walk pads, ships ladder, gas piping and electrical.
Contractor’s Licensing
It is WCSD's opinion that the scope of work for this project qualifies for the following license groups: A23 or General Contracting AB, B licenses if, more than two (2) building trades are utilized; or Specialty License C1, C2, C3 and C21 if the bidder is performing the majority of the work per NRS 338.139.
If a Contractor would like to seek clarification from the Nevada State Contractor’s Board, then they must do so ten (10) days prior to the bid due date. https://www.nvcontractorsboard.com/.
Sealed bids for the HVAC Replacement in G Hall at Sparks High School will be received by the Washoe County School District’s (WCSD) Purchasing Department located at the Brown Center 14101 Old Virginia Road, Room #0, Reno, NV 89521, until 2:00 p.m., (Local Time) on April 30, 2026. The bids will be opened publicly via a TEAMS Meeting at 2:30 pm (local time).

There will be a NON-MANDATORY Pre-Bid Meeting held 3:30 p.m. on April 16, 2026, at Sparks High School (Meet in Front of the Office) 820 15th Street, Sparks, NV 89431.
Due to access and coordination involved in this project we highly recommend that contractors walk the project site that we are making available.
