Invitation for Bid: Madison County – Senior Bus Barn Building Project

Madison County is accepting sealed bids for the construction of a 38’ x 44’ senior bus barn building located in Sheridan.

Project Summary:

Work involves constructing a 38’ x 44’ red iron steel frame building with 16’ high walls and a 3/12 roof pitch. The building will have tan walls, a brown roof, and a 6-inch monolithic concrete slab foundation with ½-inch rebar spaced every 24 inches, using six-sack concrete. The project includes two (2) 16’ x 14’ insulated overhead doors, two (2) 3’ x 6’8” man doors, two (2) 4’ x 2’ windows, a 6’ x 8’ bathroom, a 6’ x 14’ office (both framed and finished), and a 6’ x 7’6” storage room. The building will feature 2-inch spray foam insulation on the walls and ceiling, six (6) LED lights, ten (10) outlets, exhaust ventilation, a natural gas unit heater, two exterior photocell lights above the overhead doors, a 2-foot roof overhang, and a 44’ x 15’ poured concrete apron. Site utility work includes excavation, compaction, grading, stub-out plumbing for drains and toilet, gravel placement, water and sewer taps, and a 20-foot floor drain connecting to an infiltrator drain behind the building.

Bid Submittal:

Sealed bids must be clearly marked “Senior Bus Barn Building Bid”. They will be accepted at the Madison County Commissioners’ Office, 111 East Wallace Street, Virginia City, MT 59755, or mailed to P.O. Box 278, Virginia City, MT 59755. Bids must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025. Bids will be publicly opened and reviewed during the Board of Commissioners Discussion meeting on Monday, November 24, 2025. The award will be announced on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, during the Board of Commissioners' Regular meeting.
