Project Description: The Borough of Catasauqua (“Owner”) will receive sealed bids electronically via the PennBid Program from qualified Respondents for a service contract (“Contract”) for general repairs, maintenance and emergency repairs to Borough-owned utilities and facilities, including but not limited to the Borough’s wastewater treatment plant, water treatment facility, water distribution system, and sanitary sewer and storm sewer collection systems. Work under this Contract shall be assigned by the Borough via issuance of individual Work Orders for specified tasks and/or projects, as necessary. The Contract is intended to be in effect for a duration of three (3) years, with the potential for renewal for up to two (2) additional one-year terms.
Bids will be received online via PennBid until 11:00 a.m. (prevailing time) on Thursday, June 25, 2026. Bid results will be made available on PennBid after bid opening and review by Owner.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026 at the Borough of Catasauqua’s Municipal Building (90 Bridge Street, Catasauqua, PA 18032). A site tour of the Borough’s existing wastewater treatment plant and water treatment facility may follow the pre-bid meeting, if needed.
Copies of the Specifications/Bid Forms are available, at no cost, through PennBid (https://PennBid.bonfirehub.com). All questions and inquiries shall be submitted through PennBid’s “Ask A Question” button found on the Project Details page.
The bid must be accompanied by bid security made payable to the Owner in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, and in the form of a certified or bank check or a Bid Bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions.
This bid is considered “maintenance work” and therefore is not subject to Pennsylvania prevailing minimum wage rates.
Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in, and/or to reject, any or all bids. No bid will be accepted if not submitted electronically through the PennBid system.
