Market research for the component repair services for the Abrams, Bradley, and M104 Wolverine Family of Vehicles (FoV). This request for information (RFI) is an initial assessment of interest from industry. Another notice may follow at a later date based upon the interest this RFI receives.
Background. The TAP program was established in 1999 to address readiness and operations and support (O&S) cost concerns for the M1A2 Abrams Tank. Ft. Hood, TX was selected as the location for the program due to its close proximity to the M1A2 fleet. The scope of the program includes support and unique identification marking to over 1,400 parts for the Abrams, Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV), and the M104 Wolverine Heavy Assault Bridge (Wolverine) Family of Vehicle (FoV) platforms. The TAP program primarily requires the contractor to operate and maintain a Government-Owned, Contractor-Operated (GOCO) facility at Ft. Hood, TX, to provide repair and sustainment services for a diverse range of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and Shop Replaceable Units (SRUs). The objective is to ensure the timely availability of serviceable assets to support operational readiness.
This is a sources sought notice requesting information on the industry’s capability to satisfy TACOM ILSC’s requirement for receipt, inspection, diagnosis, repair, testing, storage, and issue of select LRUs and SRUs associated with the Abrams, Bradley, and M104 Wolverine FoV. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. All portions of this market survey are merely for market research purposes and subject to change at any time. Response to this survey is voluntary and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this market survey. Data submitted in response to this market survey will not be returned.
