Public Safety Extinguishment Services

The Seattle Fire Department (SFD) is seeking a pool of contracts that will provide the City of Seattle with extinguishment services in support of SFD emergency operations during fires or large scale emergencies to address imminent circumstances impacting life, safety and property concerns.

Extinguishment services can include shoring of walls and slopes, knocking down of walls and structures, moving of building rubble to aid in overhaul and prevention of rekindle.

City of Seattle Ordinance 127037 was signed in June 2024 and addresses unsafe building abatement. This solicitation is specific to extinguishment, and future solicitations may occur for abatement processes. The Ordinance is available for review in the Attachments section, Attachment A.
