Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Product Manager Maintenance Support Systems (PdM MSS) intends to procure, via Full and Open Competition, a Tactical Radio Intermediate Test System (TRITS) to perform automated testing of existing and expected future tactical ground radio systems. TRITS will perform fault isolation tests of the Radio Frequency transmit and receive paths down to the component level. MARCORSYSCOM requires the TRITS units to be able to run manual and fully automated testing, to be contained in a single transit case (not including accessories) and use a standard 120V power source. The RFP is anticipated for release in late September 2025 via Sam.gov.
As part of our Source Selection Evaluation Board (SSEB), a Field User Evaluation (FUE) will take place at the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC-LANT) in Charleston, SC in Quarter One of Fiscal Year 26. As part of the FUE, Marines from the Fleet Marine Force (FMF) will be evaluating all aspects of the TRITS, to include performance of automated testing capabilities on existing ground radio systems. To properly evaluate this capability, a Test Program Set (TPS) consisting of both hardware and software are required to be provided as part of the bid sample. A TPS for the AN/PRC-117G is preferred, but a TPS for the AN/PRC-160 or the AN/PRC-158 are also acceptable.
