THIS IS A SYNOPSIS ONLY CURRENTLY
Synopsis for Explosive Detection Canine Team (EDCT) services for various locations throughout Manhattan, NY, & Bethesda, MD. The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, management, supervision, training, licenses, and permits to provide the services in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW). This requirement will be solicited as a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 13.5 procedures. It is anticipated that a single award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract with firm fixed
price provisions will be established as a result of the solicitation. Resultant task orders under the contract will be firm fixed price. The Period of Performance is for a one-year base period with four one-year option periods and an optional 6-month extension in accordance with FAR 52.217-8.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 561612, Security Guards
and Patrol Services, with size standard is $29.0 million. This acquisition will be solicited under full and open
competition. The RFP will require the submission of a technical proposal as well as a price proposal. All proposals
received in response to the RFP will be evaluated using Best Value Trade-Off Procedures. The Contractor is
required to register with the System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov. No contract award
shall be made to any contractor that is not registered or in the process of registering with the System for Award
Management.
