Separate sealed proposals for "PINEY VFD INSTALLATION SUMMER 2026 ” which consists of the installation of three (3) variable frequency drives (VFDs) as directed by the City Engineer in Frostburg will be received at City Hall Municipal Center, 37 S. Broadway Street, Frostburg, MD 21532, until Tuesday, July 7 at 1:00PM . At which time, proposals will be opened and read in a meeting open to the public. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 1:00p.m. at 2625 Piney Run Road, Frostburg, MD 21532 (Piney Reservoir Pump Station).
This work shall include the furnishing and installation of three (3) VFDs at the City of Frostburg’s Piney Reservoir Pump Station. The VFDs will be installed to serve three (3) existing vertical turbine water pumps operating on 480-volt, three-phase power. Two pumps are rated at 150 horsepower each, and one pump is rated at 225 horsepower. All necessary wiring and configuration changes should be included in the proposal.
Each proposal must be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Frostburg Mayor and Council, 37 S. Broadway, P.O. Box 440, Frostburg, Maryland 21532, and marked on the outside of the envelope “ PINEY VFD INSTALLATION SUMMER 2026 ” by 1:00 P.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 or you may hand carry the bid to City Hall Municipal Center, 37 S. Broadway Street, by 1:00 P.m.
The Frostburg Mayor and Council reserve the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive informalities as the interest of the Mayor and Council may require.
