“PAVING OF VARIOUS CITY STREETS SUMMER 2026”

Separate sealed bids for the construction of "PAVING OF VARIOUS CITY STREETS SUMMER 2026 ”, consisting of bituminous concrete resurfacing of specific blocks of City streets as noted in the bid package and other areas as directed by the City Engineer in Frostburg, and miscellaneous work will be received at City Hall Municipal Center, 37 S. Broadway Street, Frostburg, MD 21532, until Tuesday, July 7 at 11:00a.m. At which time, bids will be opened and read in a meeting open to the public. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 11:00a.m. at City Hall Municipal Center, 1 ^st Floor Meeting Room #100, 37 S. Broadway Street, Frostburg, MD.
This work shall include the furnishing and placing of a 0 – 1-inch bituminous concrete (hot asphalt) scratch course, wedge course, or leveling course (where needed as directed by the City) and appurtenant work, including some milling and curbing (where needed as directed by the City).  Also, this work shall include the furnishing and placing of a 1-2-inch bituminous concrete (hot asphalt) wearing surface course.  Tacking shall be required between all existing bituminous surfaces being covered with new bituminous concrete. Approximately 1,200 tons of hot mix asphalt, incidental milling and miscellaneous work is estimated.

Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained at the above office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily, except Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays upon written request.
Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Frostburg Mayor and Council, 37 S. Broadway, P.O. Box 440, Frostburg, Maryland 21532, and marked on the outside of the envelope “ PAVING OF VARIOUS CITY STREETS SUMMER 2026 ” by 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 or you may hand carry the bid to City Hall Municipal Center, 37 S. Broadway Street, by 11:00 a.m.
The Frostburg Mayor and Council reserve the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive informalities as the interest of the Mayor and Council may require.
